Remnants of very worn front panel of DJ taped to front endpaper. Two-page letter on vicarage stationery signed by author and taped to pages following title page. Contents show evidence of handling, wear, but pages tight. No DJ but for remnant mentioned. Cooper was the longest serving vicar of St. Oswald's in Filey, Yorkshire, and was known as "The Walking Parson" for his long rambles--some as far as Rome and Venice.
